Shastika Shali Pinda Sweda

Shastika Shali Pinda Sweda is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy that combines external oleation and fomentation, particularly effective for treating chronic and deep-rooted conditions of the joints, muscles, and ligaments. The term “Shastika Shali” refers to a special type of rice that matures in 60 days and is known for its medicinal properties. This rice, along with other herbal medicines, is used to create a bolus (Pinda), which is then applied to the body for therapeutic fomentation (Sweda), also known as Navara Kizhi.

Indications: This treatment is beneficial for conditions such as residual hemiplegia, sciatica, motor neuron diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, muscular atrophy, and Parkinsonism.
